rachel {topanga canyon portraits}01.08.13

I am lucky enough to know some very talented people, one of them being the beautiful Rachel of One Part Gypsy. We are neighbors in Venice and met each other eariler this year at the Featherlove Workshop in San Diego, such a small world! We bonded over our love for our dogs and Venice. I was so excited when she asked me to take photos of her and Topanga Canyon was the perfect backdrop! Check out her website and blog for some prettiness and inspiration!

Modern Mediterranean Styled Wedding Shoot {by Yellow Bird Events & Fondly Forever Photography}11.08.12

When Yoleine of Yellow Bird Events ask me to photograph an upcoming styled shoot she was putting together, I didn’t have to think twice before saying yes. She and I have worked together on several projects and weddings and she always comes up with fresh, new, creative ideas so I knew this shoot wouldn’t be any different. She put together an amazing team of vendors (see below) who really did make my job so easy and I am so grateful to everyone for lending their talents and time. It was so much fun being able to shoot at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. The decor and design of the hotel gave us a perfect backdrop for our shoot!  A huge thank you to Ruffled for featuring the shoot yesterday, it was such an honor to be on one of my favorite blogs!

big sur styled wedding shoot by sarah ward events and fondly forever photography08.31.12

Big Sur is my favorite place in the world and holds so much special meaning for me. It was in Big Sur that I truly learned to love and appreciate nature and it was also in Big Sur that I got married last September. My husband and I take every opportunity we get to go camping in the redwoods or along the Big Sur River. The beauty and stillness is exactly what I need at times and I am so grateful to have spent so much time up there.

I am so excited to share these photos with you today! I worked with the fabulously talented Sarah Ward of Sarah Ward Events who conceptualized and put together the team for this shoot. If you are looking for an awesome wedding planner or coordinator, I would highly recommend Sarah! Sarah also found the secret location for our shoot and as many times as I have been to Big Sur, I had no clue it existed! It was a magical mix of redwoods and river and I will definitely be returning to this special spot.

Thank you so much to everyone involved in the shoot, especially Lovely Bride LA, (where I got MY wedding dress last year!) who was kind enough to loan us the gorgeous Anne Barge dress and Connie Moore who made the stunning floral crown and did all of the flowers for the shoot. Also, thank you to Kimberly + Mike, our beautiful models who are engaged and getting married next year!
